Fighting Chance focuses on both grappling and stand-up striking to thoroughly prepare members to excel in both self-defense and sport situations. Each class is a blend between multiple styles and separated by either Grappling or Striking. Jiu Jitsu/Grappling classes contain elements of Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling, and Judo while Striking classes consist of Muay Thai, Boxing, Kickboxing, and Jeet Kune Do.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a grappling martial art designed to immobilize an opponent and submit them on the ground via chokes and joint locks. BJJ shows how a smaller, weaker person can take out a bigger opponent through technique rather than strength.
Boxing is an American combat sport where competitors learn to deal strikes using only their hands. Boxing practitioners learn footwork, and head movement on top of properly timed punches to perfect their art.
Judo is a martial art used to throw and immobilize your opponent through leverage and balance. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu was derived from Judo by taking many of it's elements and creating more of a "ground game" focus.
The Art Of 8 Limbs. Hands, shins, elbows and knees all thrown into a nice little package to cripple your opponent. Muay Thai is Thailand's version of kickboxing where you learn to utilize a combination of punches, kicks, knees, elbows, foot sweeps, and the clinch to defeat your opponent.
Wrestling is a combat sport utilizing the clinch, take-downs, and pins to take your opponent to the ground and immobilize them.
Jeet Kune Do is a hybrid philosophy of martial arts heavily influenced by the personal philosophy and experiences of martial artist Bruce Lee.
